It is very easy to use the Personal Search Page to find what you need. Simply enter one or more search terms in one of the text boxes and click the appropriate search button. If you are looking for something very specific, start with AltaVista or MetaCrawler. If you are looking for something on a more general scale, use Yahoo.

When you search, try using the following tips:

• Remember to spell things correctly.
• Try to think up unusual words or short phrases that accurately describe your topic--be specific. If you don't find something on your first attempt, use other words or phrases and try again.
• Use Boolean functions, such as AND, OR, NOT--but don't forget to read each search engine's instructions to learn how it uses such functions first.
• Even if you did get something useful, you may want to try different search engines to see if anything else turns up.

You may also be interested in clicking on the "Start Search Window" link if you are using a browser that supports JavaScript (such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer). Doing so will bring up the other half of the CyberSense Search System-the Search Window, a dedicated searching window that allows you to easily query all of the major search engines.
